A felt-tip pen is a problem for parents of small children, a frequent cause of stains on furniture and more. Inside the felt-tip pen are conventional “inks”, usually an alcohol solution of a dye.

This dye firmly clings to the fibers, together with alcohol penetrates into the smallest pores and gives a fairly stable color. Of course, there are exceptions.

Stains from felt-tip pens and markers can be removed well by dissolving and washing off these inks. And in the most difficult cases, the remaining dyes have to be bleached.
