It is difficult to remove glue stains, in some cases it is almost impossible.

But if you know how and have appropriate cleaning products, you can remove glue stains.

If in your case the stain is rubber glue, the remedies below should help you.

The principle of removing such contamination (glue stains) is simple – the stain must be dissolved in a suitable solvent and washed off. In some cases, it turns out not to dissolve, but to greatly soften the glue, which allows you to separate the stain piece by piece with the help of a thin tool – a toothpick or something similar.

If a glue stain needs to be removed from upholstered furniture, try to protect the filler (foam, polyurethane foam) from the action of the solvent. To do this, you can try to put a film under the fabric or, if the part does not unfasten, wet the filler with water (this will reduce the absorption of the solvent).

Apply a little agent (solvent) to the glue spot, wait 5-15 minutes, try to separate the spot mechanically. When this processing time is not enough, leave the stain remover for a longer period.

If the stain remover evaporates quickly, cover the treated area with a film and press on top with a flat object that provides enough pressure so that the stain remover does not evaporate, or use a gel stain remover.

After removing the glue stain, the treatment area should be thoroughly washed.

Please note that when removing a stain from glue, the carpet, upholstery or other textile material is in contact with the stain remover containing solvents for a long time. Be sure to make sure in advance that this method of removing the glue stain is safe for the material being cleaned.
